Treatment - Multiple Myeloma
In this eight part video guide, "Living with Multiple Myeloma", Dr. Abram Trevino, an experienced Medical Oncologist of Oncology San Antonio, offers insight and education into Multiple Myeloma including its symptoms and treatment. Multiple Myeloma is a cancer of the bone marrow where the blood in the body is produced. With the presence of Myeloma cells in the blood, patients may experience tumors in the bone and sometimes within the soft tissues of the body. Under these conditions, Myeloma cells may prevent the bone marrow from producing enough red blood cells (the cause of anemia), white blood cells (the body's infection fighters) and blood platelets (responsible for blood coagulation).
