Dr. Dancuart completed his undergraduate and medical school education at Cayetano Heredia University in Lima, Peru, graduating in 1975. He went on to complete internships at Cayetano Heredia University Medical School and Sinai Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Dancuart fulfilled his residency requirements at Wayne State Hospital, in Detroit, Michigan and his radiation oncology residency at The Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto, Ontario followed by a Clinical fellowship in Radiation Oncology at M. D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Dancuart was a Junior Staff at the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Southern California from 1982 to late 1983. He moved to San Antonio in 1986 and has been at Live Oak Cancer Center since that time.
Dr. Dancuart joined Oncology San Antonio in 2004. He has an extensive background in radiation oncology and has authored many articles and technical papers. At M. D. Anderson Hospital he explored the role of radiation therapy in the primary treatment of squamous cell carcinoma of the Vagina. He has also published papers regarding the role of radiation therapy in the primary treatment of Lentigo Maligna melanoma and the post-operative treatment of head and neck melanomas. Dr. Dancuart has been Board Certified in radiation oncology since 1982.
Dr. Dancuart is fluent in Spanish.
